After their current single ‘Nervous System’ heralded an emboldened new direction, leading to support from Zane Lowe atApple Music plus coverage from The Line of Best Fit and Notion, Joseph today announce details of two special London shows. They will play their first UK headline show in almost four years at Bush Hall on April 24th, before performing as special guests to James Bay at his sold-out Royal Albert Hall show on April 26th. Both shows preview their eagerly anticipated new album ‘The Sun’, which follows on April 28th via ATO Records.

Joseph were personally invited by James Bay to open his Royal Albert Hall show, with the two artists sharing a mutual appreciation since they first toured together in 2016. After Joseph announced details of the gig via social media, James Bayresponded, “Cannot cannot wait.”

‘Nervous System’ represents a sonic evolution for the trio, who have previously attracted other high profile fans as varied asBillie Eilish and The Shins. The song shows the fresh direction that Joseph are taking with ‘The Sun’, an album in which their instantly infectious indie-pop-folk songcraft shines bright alongside their breathtaking three-party harmonies and boundless lyrical wisdom. Lyrically, they focus upon the quietly damaging forces of gaslighting, cultural conditioning, and unconscious yet painfully limiting self-beliefs. It ultimately highlights the importance of taking control of your own fate, making difficult decisions which remain true to your beliefs, and keeping faith while weathering the highs and lows of love.

Previously seen on shows including ‘Later…With Jools Holland’, the trio – Natalie Closner and her sisters, twins Meeganand Allison – will follow the two London shows with an extensive North American tour which runs through to the start of July. It includes two homecoming shows at Portland’s Revolution Hall. Please see below for a full list of dates and ticket information.
