Lightning Seeds continue their welcome return with the release of brand new single ‘Emily Smiles’. The track is the third to be taken from their new album ‘See You In The Stars’, their first release on new label BMG – out October 14th.

One of the album highlights, ‘Emily Smiles’, co-written with Specials man Terry Hall, whom Ian wrote Jollification’s ‘Lucky You’ with, is a big, infectious tune with tight focus: human connectivity. “‘Emily Smiles’ is about miscommunication and lives being changed by small moments and random events,” Ian Broudie said of the track. “It’s about desperation and the distances between us being unlocked with the magic inside a smile.”

Directed by James Slater (Zomdic Films), Ian said of the video ‘the video reflects the sentiment in the song. Communication is so important and our differences are often settled by the simple power in the magic of a smile.’
