ORLANDO, Fla. – With just days until Spooky Empire was set to kick off in Orlando, Hurricane Milton has forced organizers to postpone the event until a later date.

The horror convention was originally set to take place Oct. 11 through Oct. 13 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando.

According to a post on Spooky Empire’s Facebook account, flights being canceled through Friday creates challenges to get most of the guests, attendees, and vendors to the event.

“We are already working on that new date as we speak and will announce those as soon as we can,” the post read.

This year, over 40 guests are set to be available for photo-ops.

Some of the stars include Carla Gugino, Clive Barker, Lili Taylor, Jessica Rothe, Chris Sarandon and more.

Ken Page, a stage and screen actor who scared generations of kids as the voice of Oogie Boogie, the villain of the 1993 animated holiday film “The Nightmare Before Christmas,″ was scheduled to appear at the convention before dying earlier this week. He was 70.

In addition to the guests, there will be special events:

There will also be tattoo and film festivals going on throughout the convention.
