Heavy downpours, gusty winds expected with Helene bands

ORLANDO, Fla. – Hurricane Helene is strengthening and expected to rapidly intensify into a major hurricane.

While Helene is not directly heading toward Central Florida, the storm’s outer bands will reach the area as early as Wednesday evening, bringing heavy rain and gusty winds. Helene is a massive storm, so all of the Florida peninsula will feel the impact of this storm.
