Victim taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries

OCALA, Fla. – One person was taken to the hospital after being shot at Jervey Gantt Park on Saturday evening, according to the Ocala Police Department.

Police said there is a heavy police presence at the park after an adult was shot and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to a news release, a youth football game was happening at the time of the shooting.

Police said scene is secure and there is no danger to the community.
